The Federal Reserve is expected to continue to hike interest rates by year's end. 0.75 points this month or next and then again .50 before year's end. By Years end we will be at around 8.25%. Buy now, potentially buy down your interest rate and afford a bigger home, or stay where you are at, hopefully not renting, waiting for prices to come down but higher interest rates. Even after the elections, if interest rates were to start coming back down it would be gradual, the government moves slow. Lower home prices? Potentially but higher interest rates will get you a lesser home.
